WordPress One Minute Podcast Ep 9: Upgrading Plugins

One of the coolest and best features of WordPress now is that you can upgrade existing plugins and upload new plugins right from with in the admin panels. There is one hitch, however, is that you still need your FTP information that your web host gave to you to make the uploads work. Today I tell you all about that, in just a minute.

    You shouldn't need the FTP information — if you do, that probably means the permissions on the WordPress directory are wonky and WordPress doesn't seem to be able to write to itself. When that happens, WordPress prompts for the FTP username/password, but generally it doesn't.
